We can proudly present two innovations this year on the New Energy 2016!

Beside the already mentioned extention of our Smart!wind series with the new SW-1.2, SW-2.4 and SW-3.6 for distributed generation in a single phased grid we have revised the well known inverters to adjust them even better to the demands of the market! So we integrated a complete PC into it so you can even adjust the parameters from everywhere on the world. You can monitor it even with your smartphone or through the all new 7" touch screen.

Let yourself be surprised by the many options and possibilities! We are therefore pleased to welcome you on our booth 3B16 in Hall 3! Stay tuned for more informations!

The Smart!wind now works in island systems

From now on you can use the Smart!wind SW-5.5, SW-7.5 and SW-10 for distributed generation. They work in connection with the Sunny Island inverter.

Presentation of the new Smart!wind SW-5.5 at the new energy fair in Husum

Our product series of feed-in converters is now complemented by the new Smart!wind SW-5.5. At the new energy in Husum (March 21th- 24th 2013, SPE: hall 1, stand 1C01) the SW-5.5 will be presented in public for the first time. With that SPE now covers a power range from 5.5 to 20 kW and has increased the possible applications in the sector of small wind turbines once again.

Since October 2012: The feed-in converter Smart!wind SW-7.5 and SW-10 are affiliated by energinet.dk to the whitelist. This implies the operation of the Smart!wind in Denmark from now on.

The fed-in power is limited to 6 kW for operation in Denmark.

To satisfy the rising worldwide demand for drinking water even apart from existing infrastructure, SPE is developing a container for water extraction conducted only by the renewable energies wind and sun.

This project is promoted by “Zukunftsprogramm Wirtschaft des Landes Schleswig-Holstein“ (program future economy of the Land Schleswig-Holstein).

The Smart Power Electronics GmbH & Co. KG is promoted within the framework of “Zukunftsprogramm Wirtschaft (ZPW)” of the Land Schleswig-Holstein with funds from the European Fonds for regional development (EFRD) of the EU. In the six-year-period from 2007 – 2013 roughly 752 MM euros are put in the ZPW for economic and regional political promotion in Schleswig-Holstein thereof roughly 374 MM euros from the EFRD, about 173 MM from the Federal / Länder-community task “Verbesserung der regionalen Wirtschaftsstruktur” (Improvement of the regional economy structure) and roughly 175 MM euros from supplementary Länder-funds.

Now the smart!wind is in accordance with the new directive for connection of generator plants with the mains (VDE-AR-N 4105). The last examinations have been finished successfully in May. The corresponding evidence of conformity is available for download at this website.

Marschwind, Germany’s first demo small wind farm is established!

Smart Power Electronics has established the “Kleinwindpark AE&SPE GmbH” together with AHLF-Elektrotechnik GmbH by whom the small wind farm has been created and is run now.
In this demo-farm we like to test our own product developments for grid connecting of renewable energy systems under real conditions and then e.g. adjust them to different SWT concepts.
Looking for a kind of test plant for the inverter smart!wind we came to the conclusion that such a plant does not exist yet and thus took over the control ourselves…
It is our aim to stimulate the dynamically growing market of small wind power plants.

The topping out of the first plant will take place 16th of November, 2010. We are going to use the winter wind season and like to test the first small wind turbines and their components as soon as possible!
